The ancient Egyptian artifacts
Egypt's security forces raided the home of two antiquities traffickers in Beni Suef governorate where a large collection of ancient Egyptian artefacts was found, the Ministry of Interior said on Tuesday.
The suspects, who are brothers, are currently on the run.
Among the findings were several sarcophagi, small gold statues, busts as well as several ushabti statues from ancient Egypt. Police also found 5,450 coins from the Greco-Roman era.
The Beni Suef prosecution is currently investigating the case and security forces are searching for the two suspects.
