Egyptology Lecturer Position

The Department of Near Eastern Languages and Cultures at UCLA is seeking a Lecturer to teach ancient Egyptian language, history, and culture for the academic year 2018-19. We are looking for someone with a strong knowledge of Old, Middle, and Late Egyptian, to teach advanced grammar and reading seminars. Knowledge of Coptic and Demotic are preferred, but not required. We are especially interested in historians and/or epigraphers of the Pharaonic Period (Bronze to Iron Age). Applicants should have a demonstrable excellence in teaching, and have their PhD in Egyptology or related fields, in hand by July 2018.
