King Tutankhamen mask to be out of display as of Oct. 10

Care taker tourism minister Mamdouh El-Damati said on Tuesday 15/9/2015 that an Egyptian-German committee tasked with renovating the golden mask of King Tut Ankh Amun decided to lift the ancient artifact, currently on display at the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir, out of its place as of October 10.

In a statement, Damati said the committee completed a study to determine the best way to fix the mask and a specialized team would then start renovating it.
