The American University in Cairo Press (AUC Press) recently published three books on Egypt: Egypt Inside Out and Cairo Inside Out, both by Trevor Naylor and photographer Doriana Dimitrova, and Ancient Egyptian Jewelry: 50 Masterpieces of Art and Design by Nigel Fletcher-Jones.

Egypt Inside Out, showcases Egypt's charisma in the 21st century, its varied and magnificent geography and its hospitable inhabitants. In the recent extended version of Cairo Inside Out, the book evokes the light and moods of the great Cairo metropolis with stunning photographs shot from the city's indoor havens. The new paperback edition includes an additional, final chapter elucidating on the recently expanded areas of Cairo's periphery including the developments in New Cairo.

Ancient Egyptian Jewelry: 50 Masterpieces of Art and Design by Nigel Fletcher-Jones, is a book that draws on the exquisite collections in the archaeological museums of Cairo to tell the story of three thousand years of jewelry-making, from simple amulets to complex ritual jewelry.
