Marcia Johnston was a direct and unabashed personality whom I first met at an exhibition of the Sutro Collection at San Francisco State University. She came right up to me and told me that she was from "Sackamenna". Marcia was a long-time member of the Northern California ARCE chapter, served on the ARCE-NC board as secretary, and for years rode the train from Sacramento to Berkeley and back, to attend chapter lectures and the dinners afterward. She was a lover of Egypt, and had traveled there. And she was much more. Her obituary can be found at https://www.legacy.com/us/obituaries/sacbee/name/marcia-johnston-obituary?pid=199422477 .
Marcia's life will be celebrated at a memorial service on July 24, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Fremont Presbyterian Church, 5770 Carlson Drive, Sacramento, CA. A reception will follow. A private graveside service will be held at East Lawn Memorial.
