ARCE Turns 72
The American Research Center in Egypt was formally established in Boston on May 14, 1948, at a meeting presided over by Harvard's Edward W. Forbes and Archaeological Institute of America President Sterling Dow. Today, we are celebrating 72 years of ARCE and its mission to research and preserve Egypt's cultural heritage.
Our archives are filled with nostalgic photographs of past ARCE staff, fellows, and affiliates, and we decided that there is no better way to mark today than to share some of these heartwarming images with our supporters.
Thank you for believing in ARCE's mission for over seven decades!
