Annual General Meeting
The Society's 2016 Annual General Meeting will be held in September at the British Museum. The meeting will be followed by the annual Kirwan Memorial Lecture.
Kirwan Memorial Lecture
Each autumn the Society invites an eminent scholar to deliver the Kirwan Memorial Lecture, inaugurated in 2000 in honour of the first President of the Society, Sir Laurence Kirwan (1907-1999), whose interest and involvement in Sudanese archaeology spanned 60 years. The lecture is followed by a reception.
