Luxor and Aswan from the sky

A trip to Luxor and Aswan is one of the most enjoyable trips that most of people wait until winter to visit.

Winter is about to come, bringing its charm and magic. Hot drinks, walking under the rain, and thick sweaters are soon going to be everywhere. New adventures are already being planned to enjoy what some believe to be the best season of the year.

A trip to Luxor and Aswan is one of the most enjoyable trips that most of people wait until winter to visit. Due to the high temperature of the cities during the summer, winter is the best season to enjoy the ancient temples and monuments, as the extreme coldness of Cairo can be exchanged for nice warm weather there.

Luxor has been characterised as the “world’s greatest open-air museum” due to the abundance of monuments, temples, tombs and kings’ valleys. Thousands of tourists from all over the world annually visit these ancient places and spend days discovering the history of the pharaohs. But what  better way to see the charm of the place than from among the clouds, to have a wider view of the city and notice what cannot be seen from the ground?

Having an aerostat trip is a must-do for anyone who visits these sacred places.  Most of these trips are held at dawn to allow tourists to enjoy the light breeze while watching the sun rising slowly to wake the city up.

Watching the temples from above allows tourists to see how huge they are, like the Karnak Temple Complex, which extends to 5,000 sqm. Trips usually last from 30 to 50 minutes, and can take longer upon the request of attendees.
