British archaeologists survey in Nile delta reveals new data
The
expedition of Durham university directed by Dr. Penny Wilson, in
cooperation with Al Mansoura university completes the second season of
survey of the site of Kom el Ahmar, Tell Mutubis in Kafr Wl Sheikh governorate.
The
expedition managed to plan the buildings at the site including
limestone buildings which are believed to be residential beside
warehouses.
The
site is dated to a Roman era and according to the pottery, glass and
coins found at the site, it suggests that it was abandoned at the
Islamic period.
