Egypt's Prosecutor-General Hamda El-Sawy received on Wednesday in Paris 114 Egyptian artefacts that had been smuggled into France.

According to the office of the prosecutor-general, the Egyptian prosecution's investigations, in cooperation with French judicial authorities, succeeded in stopping all attempts to put the artefacts up for auction.

The secretary-general of the Supreme Council of antiquities Mostafa El-Waziry accompanied the prosecution's delegation, which was led by El-Sawy.
