Area behind Old Cairo-based Hanging Church to be changed into a theater
Ministers of Antiquities and Culture, Khalid Al-Anani and Helmy al-Namnam respectively, have inspected the Fortress of Babylon, Coptic Museum and the Temple of the Jewish Ben Ezra in Old Cairo. The tour comes in light of inspecting an area behind the Hanging Church (Saint Virgin Mary's Coptic Orthodox Church) to change it into a theater for artistic and cultural events.
Sawy Wheel celebrates international Day of Nuba
Cairo-based al-Sawy Wheel will organize on July 29 a Nubian concert by the Nubian Band, marking the International Day of Nuba.
"We want to share our heritage of music as it really part of our identity as Nubian so we decided to create a new band that mix between Nubian music and western music and we are doing our best to achieve our dreams to spread Nubian music," the band said in a statement on the wheel website.

The Administration of Cairo and Giza Antiquities will organize a symposium entitled "The architectural styles of Muhammad Ali Dynasty in Cairo" at the Manial Palace and Museum on July 26, Youm7 reported Sunday.
