Gayer Anderson Museum: Secret of the Enchanted Well
Tue, Aug. 1, 2017
CAIRO – 1 August 2017: The Gayer Anderson Museum (Al- Keretlia House) is a wonderful house in El Sayeda Zainab area next to the Mosque of Ibn Tulun, and one of the most beautiful signs of Islamic architecture.
It is better to hear the full history of the house from your tour guide when you go to visit, or from people who work at the museum, and you will be surprised by what you hear; from stories about how it was built or the rumors that spread about that house, also there are signs all around the house explaining everything to visitors.

When you enter this museum you will find yourself in a yard in the middle of which there is an enchanted well, ask why it is believed to be enchanted. After that you will find a stairway to the old house which leads to an open space where there are chairs so you can sit and enjoy the view.
