Discovered Objects at Northern Delta

Dr. Mamdouh Eldamaty, Minister of Antiquities declared that the Ministry of Antiquities' Mission, which works at Tell Tebilla site, Dekernes (Northeast Delta), Dakahlia Governorate, has found a number of artifacts during its excavation works.
Eldamaty said excavation works at the site started at the beginning of last September, with the approval of the Permanent Committee of the Egyptian Antiquities, as the site has a special historical and archaeological importance; it contains a number of large tombs built of mud brick, dating back to the Greco-Roman era, in addition to some burials from the Late Period.
Dr. Mahmoud Afifi, the head of The Ancient Egyptian Antiquities Sector at the Ministry said the Minister gave his instructions to put the discovered pieces in the museum store of Dakahlia, these pieces are , a number of different Egyptian Gods statues, in addition to accessories and amulets of bronze, fiance, pottery, alabaster, and ivory.
