Grand Egyptian Museum to house new King Tut relics

CAIRO: Some 3,000 relics have been taken out of storage in Luxor to be examined by experts from the Grand Egyptian Museum, then restored and taken to their new home, according to the Ministry of Antiquities.
Among the artifacts are 600 pieces from King Tutankhamun’s tomb that have never been previously displayed.
Among the relics are a pink granite sculpture of King Amenhotep III, and colored coffins, Dr. Tarek Tawfik general supervisor of the project Grand Museum and the Chairman of the Committee stated in a Ministry of Antiquities release.
