Egypt: Attack On Luxor Tourist Site Referrred to State Security Prosecutors

Cairo — A case involving a bomb attack targeting a tourist site in Egypt's Upper Egyptian city of Luxor was referred to the State Security prosecutors on Tuesday for investigation, the prosecution said in a statement.

A suicide bomber attacked a tourist bus near Luxor's Karnak temple in June. The incident left the bomber and a gunman involved in the attack dead.

Assistant Prosecutor General Zakaria Abdel Aziz Othman issued the referral order to swiftly look into the case, the statement read.
