Dr. Dominique Valbelle, professor emerita in the Faculté des Lettres of Sorbonne Université and codirector/epigrapher of the Swiss Franco-Sudanese Mission of Kerma/Dokki Gel, presents Who Lived in Panebes, "the Town of the Jujube-Tree?"

A Film Maker's Adventure: Traversing the Duat with Zahi Hawass, a speaking engagement hosted by Nancy Donnelly, senior producer and writer for the National Geographic Channel.

 

ABOUT

 

Throughout her documentary-making career, Donnelly has traveled the world - from Myanmar to Morocco, Kamchatka to Kyoto - and has been nominated for two Emmy awards. In 2008, Donnelly spent six weeks in Egypt filming on site for the National Geographic documentary Egypt Underworld.

 

Nancy will share details of her experience in making a documentary, including behind-the-scenes red tape, stories about nailing down a TV commitment with Zahi and other adventures while working in Egypt.
